Therapy isn’t about being “fixed.”

It’s about having a space where you can slow down, build awareness of what’s happening, and begin making sense of your patterns of behaviour.

Shell works alongside you to gently explore what’s coming up — helping you understand your responses, strengthen your coping, and begin creating meaningful change.

In our work together, we may explore:

What’s happening right now

What’s showing up in your life, your relationships, and how you’re feeling day-to-day.

Patterns of behaviour

The patterns of behaviour that keep repeating - even when you genuinely want things to be different.

Coping behaviours

Coping behaviours like substance use, avoidance, or other ways of coping - and what might be underneath them.

Relationships

Patterns in communication, boundaries, and trust, and how these impact your relationships.

Awareness and choice

Building awareness so you can begin making choices that better support the life you want.

Connection and grounding

Exploring ways to feel more present, regulated, and connected through awareness, grounding, and nature-based eco-therapy practices.

A present-focused approach

Shell’s work is grounded in a present-focused approach, meaning the focus is on what’s happening for you right now - rather than only looking at the past.

This includes building awareness of your thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and patterns of behaviour as they show up in real time.

For some clients, this may also include eco-therapy sessions that incorporate outdoor environments, grounding practices, and connection with nature as part of the therapeutic process.

Through this, you can begin to understand yourself more clearly and respond in ways that feel more aligned, rather than automatic - A present-focused approach

Over time, this work can help you:

• Build awareness of your patterns of behaviour

• Respond to triggers with more clarity

• Develop healthier ways of coping

• Improve your relationships and communication

• Feel more connected to yourself and your needs

You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

If you’re ready - or even just beginning to think about it - you’re welcome to take the first step.
